Case Summary:
A 35-year-old healthy female presented with longstanding unilateral visual decline in the left eye. No prior ocular history.
Exam Findings:
VA: 6/6 OD, 6/40 OS
Anterior Segment: Unremarkable OU
Fundus:
OD: Normal
OS: Congested, tortuous vessels with a vasoproliferative-appearing lesion, highly suggestive of racemose hemangioma

FA Findings:
OD: Unremarkable
OS: Rapid filling without leakage, neovascularization, or ischemia

Diagnosis & Plan:
Diagnosis is racemose hemangioma. The patient was referred for CT angiography to assess cerebrovascular involvement.
Racemous hemangioma of the retina (RRH) is a rare congenital retinal arteriovenous malformation characterized by anomalous arteriovenous communications. Thirty percent of patients with RRH have also been found to have Wybrun-Mason syndrome, an arteriovenous malformation in the brain. Therefore, it is important to exclude this pathology with brain MRI.
